Abstract
The writer studied some chemical ingredients (Cl', CaO and KMnO4-cons.) of the waters from the deep-bored wells generally 30-40m deep, occa ionally as deep as 120m. The data are supplied by the Hygienic Laboratory of Tokyo City.Attention should be paid to the fact that the amounts of mineral contents, such as total solids, chlorides and calcium oxide, dissolved in the ground water of the region along Tokyo Bay are very large, while those from western upland, Musasino, are extremely small. The distribution of the chlorides in water is closely related with the distribution of fossil valleys which are found 30-40m below the present sea level, overlain by the recent marine deposits.
