Abstract

We have recently treated three cases of fat embolism syndrome following fracture. All three cases showed abnormal shadow in chest x-ray, cerebral sign and a decrease in the arterial PO2. Petechial rash was noticed in two cases. We recognized that a regular measurement of the arterial blood gases is valuable for early diagnosis.
