Abstract
The extraction of Rhenium from some flue dusts containing 0.07-0.42% Re was studied. The processes tested were as follows:a) Direct leaching with waterb) Leaching with aqueous solution containing oxidizing agents such as nitric acid, bromine or calcium hypochlorite.c) Sintering with Ca (OH) 2followed by leaching with waterd) Leaching with alkali solution such as NaOH or Ca (OH) 2The best result was obtained when the samples were subgected to leaching with aqueous solution containing nitric acid or bromine. More than 95 per cent. of rhenium present was extracted.
