Abstract

Yi people is the most populous and widely distributed ethnic minority in southwest China. In the long historical development process, Yi people has invented and created various folk houses with distinctive characteristics. Yi folk houses are important material and cultural symbols in Yi culture. They embody the ethical thoughts of blood, respectability, nature worship, ancestor worship, totem worship and other beliefs and customs, the spiritual and cultural content it contains is an important component of the traditional spiritual home of the Yi ethnic group.
