Abstract
The wear tests of some bearing materials are carried out by using a newly designed portable wear tester. And the characteristics of the process of wear about each material are discussed by introducing a value Ws which is defined by the following equation.Ws=h/pLwhere h; depth of wearp; contact pressureL ; sliding length.
