Abstract

Surgical reconstruction of facial squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) is sometimes very difficult depending on the location of the lesion. For that reason, non-surgical treatment is preferable in consideration of the quality of life of such patient. We report here a case of SCC on the right naris with 18 months duration, who had been treated with intra-arterial infusion of peplomycin in combination with irradiation. The patient is free of the disease for 14 months after the treatment without any deformity of the nasal contour. [Skin Cancer (Japan) 2000; 15: 19-22]
