Abstract
This paper proposes a measurement method of ground reaction force using wearable force plates. The wearable force plates consist of heel and toe parts force plates installing compact force sensors and inertial and magnetic field sensors. The force plates output the 6-axis force components and COP information. This method can estimate the posture information from the sensor coordinate system to global coordinate system, and the total force and moment of wearable force plates for heel and toe parts are calculated. Furthermore, we compared the results obtained by using the method and the results obtained from the force plate for ground installation, and the effectiveness of the proposed method was indicated. This method will be used to gait analysis and the motion measurement using the wearable force plate.
