Abstract

Spinal evoked potential (SEP) was measured in 59 patiants with cervical myelopathy.Segmental and ascending conductive SEP were obtained in 29 patiants at C4-5, C5-6 and C6-7 levels.In the myelopathy type I (Hattori's classification), in which the damage was limited in the gray matter, segmental SEP showed abnormal waves and ascending conductive SEP were normal.In type II and III, in which the damage extended to the white matter, the tindings of segmental and ascending conductive SEP were abnormal. Correlation between clinical findings and SEP were discussed.
