Abstract
海鳥の繁殖期の食性は，繁殖成績の年変動や地域差を生み出す要因の一つである．カワウPhalacrocorax carboの繁殖成績は繁殖地や年ごとに大きく異なることが知られているが，本種の繁殖期の食性の地域差や年差はあまり知られていない．本研究では中部地域の5つのカワウのコロニーにおいて，2009-2011年の育雛期の食性を吐き戻しの収集により調査した．カワウの食性は年や場所によって大きく異なった．沿岸域のコロニーでは多くの年でボラMugil cephalus cephalusやコノシロKonosirus punctatusの出現割合が70％以上を占めた．内陸域のコロニーでは，沿岸域とは異なり，いずれの年においても多様な餌種が出現した．沿岸・内陸いずれのコロニーにおいても，魚類の出現割合が低い年には代わりにアメリカザリガニProcambarus clarkiiやテナガエビMacrobrachium nipponenseが出現した．
