Abstract

1) High-frequency wave length which influences the tobacco aroma and taste seems to lie from 50 Mc to 100 Mc or more over. 2) Nicotine, protein, and amide are decreased, while ammonia and nitrate increased. 3) Organic acid soluble sugar are increased by means of 50 Mc treating, while insoluble sugar increased by means of 100 Mc treating. 4) In this work, ether extract and total resin seemed to be, influenced more by heat than by high frequency wave. 5) The pH of water extract did not changed.
