Abstract
The Corona disaster has been prolonged. Therefore, there is a need for the development of online classes that allow students to interact and collaborate with each other and with faculty members. In 2020, the creative engineering training program was held at Tohoku University, and facilitation exercises were conducted online on the subject of smart house creation. We were able to realize online engineering facilitation, which has traditionally been conducted face-to-face. Students who had never met before, including both science and humanities majors, were able to learn creative problem-solving techniques through online communication. A questionnaire to measure the effectiveness of the training revealed that all members felt that they were more active and contributed more to the discussions.
