Abstract
The purpose of this research is to clarify the damage of the small and medium-sized companies in recent large earthquakes by mailing questionnaires and hearing.The main results are summarized as follows:1) The large building damage broke out from the seismic intensity 5+, and increased from the seismic intensity 6+,2) The building damage loss of the large companies were bigger than the small companies,3) There were a lot of machine damages caused by slide in the case of the manufacturing,4) In the case of small companies, the building damage loss accounted for over 10% of the gross sales.
