Abstract

The purpose of this study is to clarifify some tendencies of the public policy of housing services encouraging migration to rural areas, which are accomplished by questionnaire survey to rural municipalities and two case studies. The results are as follows: Intermediate-mountainous areas surpass others at the public policy of housing services to settle there. But, the policies to provide comfortable housing environments are not yet sufficient. It is important that the policy includes some supports by rural community to migrators. Finally, to repeat visits in advance to the area draws some migrating supports of the community.
