Abstract

Neurothekeoma is a rare benign tumor, sometimes localized in the dermis and subcutis of the head and neck region or the shoulders. An 11-year-old female complained of temporal swelling. Histopathological examination of a biopsy specimen suggested neurothekeoma. Because of severe bleeding and the high risk of damaging the facial nerve, incomplete excision was performed. Up to ten months after the operation, no increase in the size of the residual tumor was detected.
