Abstract

Membrane separation is one of energy-saving separation technologies. In particular, the A-type zeolite membrane shows high dehydration performance. However, the thermal and chemical stabilities of the membrane is not enough for the application to chemical reactions. This manuscript reviews the researches of zeolite membranes, in particular, focuses on water-selective zeolite membranes. Then, the researches on the CHA-type zeolite membranes with excellent permeability, separation ability, and stabilities are introduced. Moreover, the membrane was applied to the esterification of carboxylic acid with alcohol.
