Abstract

We treated two patients with metastatic parotid gland tumor, one with trichilemmal carcinoma which had metastasized from the preauricular area to the paraglandular lymph nodes and one with retinoblastoma which had metastasized to the intraglandular and paraglandular lymph nodes.We discuss the differential diagnosis of metastatic lesions to the parotid gland and the surgical treatment, especially in regard to the management of parotidectomy, to neck dissection and to sacrifice of the facial nerve.
