ユニフロー掃気流れの模型機関による可視化観測

Abstract

The scavenging performances of 3 kinds of uniflow type scavenging port were examined with special model engine which had transparent cylinder.For each port, flow pattern of the intermittent flow of scavenging air in the cylinder was visualized by adding mist of methylnaphthalene, and was observed using a high speed camera.From the result of this experiment, some causal relations between the shape of the uniflow scavenging port and the scavenging performance were clarified.
