Abstract

A 58-year-old Japanese male had developed an ulcerated skin tumor on the burn scar of the right foot. He had been burned on the hearth 55 years previously. The histopathological examination of the tumor revealed that it was squamous cell carcinoma, i.e., burn scar carcinoma. He was treated with amputation of the right foot and dissection of lymphnodes of the right inguinal area. [Skin Cancer (Japan) 2001; 16: 295-298]
