Abstract

The oxide mineral floation with chelating agent as a collector is discussed from viewpoints of (1) direct use of chelating agent as a collector, (2) combined use of chelating agent with fuel oil, and (3) combined use of chelating agent with a conventional collector. Finally, the optimum pH condition for oxide mineral floattion is considered in relation to the pH dependence of the stability constant of a complex formed between mineral constituent and chelating agent.
