Abstract
Errors in spectral fitting determination of molecular concentration in laser long-path absorption measurement were investigated. Propagation of errors in a measured spectrum was studied analytically. The result shows that the systematic error in the determined concentration depends on the type of the noise included in spectral data and it is important to use appropriate weighting function in least square fitting for minimizing the error. Optimization of measurement conditions was also investigated by the analytical method.
