Abstract

One of the urgent problems in todays Japanese coal mines is to protect the swelling of floor in galleries. This phenomena require many repair men of galleries and disturb the other underground works in coal mines.The author analized this problem mathematically and showed the relations between the swelling of floor and many other fqctors which connected with this phenomena.In this study the author assummed floor rocks are elastic and applied the theory of elasticity, while in near futur he will analize same problem by theory of rheology.
