Abstract

The multivariable conditional Cox's proportional hazard regression model was used to analyze the prognostic effects of certain variables on cats infected with the feline immunodeficiency virus (FIAT). Physical and hematological examinations of 147 cats infected with FIV were carried out over a period of 8 years. Analysis showed that lymphocyte numbers, anemia, and emaciation were statistically significant prognostic factors in the selected oroportional hazard model.
