Abstract
Radiant section is the key componet of the cracking furnace, and the cracking reaction of hydrocarbons occurs in the coils of radiant section. In the research of radiant section, the focus is how to obtain the proper product distribution and the high economic benefit. This review reports the research progress of cracking reaction in the radiant coils and the heat transfer in radiant section. The kinetic model of thermal cracking reaction, the heat transfer model and the combustion model are introduced. The factors influcing the thermal cracking reacion and the heat transfer are presented, and the application of the above research on the cracking furnace are introduced as well.
