Abstract

China, Japan, and Korea share many similarities not only in terms of culture but also in terms of language and writing. In this paper we take the 658 Chinese and Sino-Japanese(SJ),Sino-Korean(SK)included in the “Trilateral Common Vocabulary Dictionary” as the object of study and analyze them in comparison with each other in six aspects, such as including meaning, lexicality, syntactic structure, collocation, emotional color, and register, which is not mentioned in previous studies, by combining the methods of previous studies. The aim of this research is to gain a deeper understanding of the meaning and usage of Chinese and Sino-Xenic homographs that are common to China, Japan, and Korea. And to dispel the doubts about the meaning and usage of Chinese and Sino-Xenic words in the language learning in China, Japan, and Korea. In my humble opinion, this study can compensate for the lack of the meaning and usage of Chinese and Sino-Japanese,Sino-Korean. The learners who is in the East Asia Cultural Sphere will make more effective use of their native language and make use of the commonality of Chinese and Sino-Xenic words to improve the efficiency of learning each other's languages.
