Abstract

This paper describes development of a running support system based on eye tracking. Recently, a field of study on sports vision points out close relationship between quality of human eye movements and competition ability of players. This study focuses on running as one of the sports that many people are easy to play. First, some experiments were performed to make relationship between running and directions of eyes clear. As an example of experimental results, some relations among running and directions of eyes were obtained. For example, directions of eyes became more stable after a certain period of time than beginning time of running. Second, a running support system with a wearable eye tracker is proposed in order to make directions of eyes stable. Finally, this paper describes a brief summary and future prospects of the system.
