Abstract
This paper presents a tribological design on swash plate type piston pumps for tap water hydraulic systems. Although this is a study about infinite short bearings, the overall structure can be applied to more complex treatments. The main structures and parameters included are as follows : effect of a valve plate with hydrostatic pads, effect of a journal bearing supporting a cylinder block, shaft spring effects, solid contact due to inclination of bearing/seal parts, and effect of compressibility of PEEK.
