Abstract

In the recent geophysical information measurements by electrical methods, it is worth special mention that conceptual and preliminary/ predictive design for performance of the methods applied to the practical problems become more important than ever be investigated. As the electrical resistivity interpretation techniques have become very useful tools for the high accuracy geophysical measurements, it may be exceedingly important for the practical problems to design preliminary/ predictive models and methods using very large and high density computer simulation and more clear and reliable subsurface visualization based on the new 2D-3D and 3D algorithms. At first, according to the author's new ideas about geophysical approach, this paper begins with a brief note of geophysical activity and significance of the predictive design for evaluating the geophysical information measurements by using the resistivity technique as an aid to the reliable and stable integrated interpretation. Next, the three-dimensional sensitivity analysis for the interpretation of subsurface electrical visualization measurements has been discussed in details. And the three-dimensional electrical resistivity imaging procedure and results and their evaluation have been explained by using an example of conductive spherical target inhomogeneity measured by solid electrode array system.
