Abstract
We are proposing a small electric vehicle which uses a low powered battery (7.2 V, approximately 2 Ah) to be used for shopping by the elderly. For this study, we have developed a standing position ride-type electric vehicle with an easy operation system in terms of easy shopping. Furthermore, steady running tests and repeated start-stop tests were conducted simulating actual vehicle use. Then, power consumption on various acceleration time are investigated to determine suitable acceleration slope. And, voltage history while getting on-off the vehicle were investigated using electromyograph. This paper will present the design with respect to easy shopping and running performance and present the experimental results.
