Abstract
The aim of this article is to propose procedures for estimating the total catch of marine recreational fishery. We supposed two-stage and cluster sampling design of party boats, and derived three methods. Estimators and their variances for the total number of fish caught by recreational fishermen were formulated. Based on variance formulas, we compared estimators of the three methods by considering causes of the variation. Estimation of total catch in weight was also considered.
