Abstract

The detection performance of pulse lidar is directly related to the quality and power of laser beam.Laser diode driver directly determines the power and pulse width of pulsed laser.Based on the detection system requirements of semiconductor laser radar,high current ns pulsed driving circuit for LD is designed.The whole circuit structure and driver-level circuit model and its theoretical analysis are introduced.The current model calculation formula is deducted and the choice of key components is summarized.And the whole driving circuit is simulated by SPICE program.The actual PCB testing results shows that the peak current is about 25A and the pulse width is 15ns,so the results meet the design requirement.
