Abstract
The roller-gear cam is a kind of three dimensional cam which has too complicated figure for manual drawing because of the freely given cam curve and of the concave-globoidal blank form. This paper deals with the computer drawing of the cam. First, the rib edge co-ordinates are calculated analytically by employing vector method. Next, all profile lines of axonometric projection are computed and plotted while eliminating the hidden lines. For the calculation and drawing, a large scale computer with its graphical computer-output microfilm (GCOM) is utilized. The resultant figures are enough exact and show cubic effects.
