Abstract

Temporal and spatial variations in the thermohaline front at the mouth of Ise Bay were investigated with use of water temperature data obtained by the commercial ferry boat which ran through the mouth of Ise Bay. Thermohaline front was generated at the south of the mouth of Ise Bay in early November, its sharpness increased and its position shifted northward until January. The thermohaline front disappeaed in early April.
