Abstract

Three spontaneous and 2 experimental cases of feline pulmonary distomiasis were examined. Eggs began to be detected in the two cases 65 and 70 days, after respectively, administration with mc. EPG increased gradually in the five cases, showing a large fluctuation. There was a large individual difference in the morphology of parasite eggs. The results of detection of eggs were compared among the conventional methods. The saturatedsaline suspension method was not efficient at all. The AMS III method and Ohshima's method were satisfactory. The chest x-ray test reveraled a nodal shadow and an indistinct transparent shadow in a spontaneous case. “Prasicanthel” presented an anthelmintic effect on these cases.
