Abstract

In injection molding, the melt state of the resin after the plasticization process has a significant influence on the quality of the molded product. However, the plasticization process did not allow visualization of the conditions inside the heat barrel, making it difficult to accurately grasp the melt state of the resin. The purpose of this paper is to establish a method to evaluate the resin melt state during the plasticization process. For evaluation, the resin pressure in the nozzle and the data obtained during the plasticization process in injection molding were analyzed. The data were then compared with the values obtained from the flow analysis. As a result, the screw moving speed in the ideal resin melt state could be calculated from the pressure loss at the check ring, and the evaluation method was established.
