Abstract

Recently, the recovery boiler has a significant role in the steam generation field for pulp mills. It becomes important to generate high pressure and high temperature steam of more than 100 kg/cm2g × 500°C as well as to recover high quality chemical. KAWASAKI KJ type recovery boiler has the following principal design concepts;(1) Safety and High reliability (2) Long continuous operation (3) High quality chemical recovery and steam generation (4) Energy saving (5) Labour saving (6) Low emission.This paper describes the newest technology based on the above concepts and introduces the operation records of recovery boilers, generating high pressure and high temperature steam.
