Abstract

Postoperative gastroparesis syndrome (PGS), which usually happens in patients underwent gastric surgery and pancreaticoduodenectomy, is very rare in patients undergoing liver resection. Recently, there was a patient developed PGS at day 8 after liver resection for hepatocellular carcinoma. With supportive treatments and nursing management, the gastric motility recovered 38 days later. We concluded that environment change may be an effective method for patients with long-term PSG.
