Abstract
Underwater light sources are in general used in many places. in our country for fish attraction lamps, however, all of them are of very simple type being ordinary lamps pat under the surface. These lamps are not, therefore, suitable for the fishing nets without some radical improvement.Various underwater light sources for fish attraction lamps and sensitive underwater lux meters for measurment of light distributions by the light sources were made by the author.Present investgation concerns mainly underwater light sources for attraction of fish, and the application of this to a set-net was carried out off Cape Uomi, near Atami, Shizuoka Prefecture.
