Abstract

Non-covalent composites of porphyrin-carbon nanomaterials play an important role in both research and application areas of optoelectronic devices, catalysis, bio-medicine, etc. This review covers the recent process in non-covalent interactions between porphyrins and carbon nanomaterials, and focuses on the structural dependence and selectivity of carbon nanomaterials by designing the porphyrin structure. The structural dependence includes cage size and optical activity for fullerenes, conductivity, diameter, chirality and optical activity for single-walled carbon nanotubes, and degree of oxidation for graphene.
