Abstract
Chromium, manganese, copper, zinc, selenium, molybdenum, cadmium, and lead concentrations were determined in liver, kidney and hair samples taken from 17 sika deer (Cervus Nippon centralis; 6 male, 11 female) captured on mount Goyosan in Iwate Prefecture. Concentrations of these elements coincided generally with values in other animals and deer species and indicated no special heavy-metal contamination in sika deer on Mount Goyosan.
