Abstract

Numerical simulation for calculating the heat transmission between indoor and outdoor spaces was developed in order to simulate the indoor air temperature and the heat load of building considering the effects of spatial form and material in outdoor space. This method was realized by combining the heat load calculation method with the heat balance simulation on external building surfaces. Calculation method of heat transmission and way of data transfer between the two simulation models were established. Influences of error factors of the heat balance simulation on the indoor air temperature, calculated by the heat load simulation, were confirmed. The application results of the developed simulation model showed that this simulation could predict the effects of spatial shape and material in outdoor space, tree's arrangement and size, on the indoor air temperature of the adjacent house.
