Abstract

Currently, the number of people involved in small-scale farming is increasing. Large tillers are often inappropriate for small-scale farming activities and the use of walking tractors is therefore common. It requires considerable physical strength to operate walking tractors and this could pose problems for women and senior citizens. Therefore, in this paper a small robot to tillage the field is developed. This robot can remotely tillage the land in cases where large tillers cannot be used and eliminates the requirement of physical strength. Because the work is done remotely, the robot is inherently safe to use for people of any age or gender.
