Abstract
In the drying sections of high-speed paper machines, the single-run system is applied for the purpose of mainly preventing sheet-fluttering.We developed better heat-transferable dryer-fabrics in this system for more efficient drying of sheet web.Our special dryer-fabrics mentioned above for which some metalic fibers we partially used, has higher heat capacity and much improved heat-transferablity from drying cylinders to sheet web, compared with the conventional dryer-fabrics.We herewith report on the effects in the laboratory testing and in the actual applications of heat-transferable dryer-fabrics.
