Abstract

We report a case of malignant myoepithelioma that developed in the hard palate. A 70-year-old woman diagnosed with pleomorphic adenoma of the hard palate was transferred to our clinic for surgical treatment of the tumor. The pathological diagnosis of a biopsy was pleomorphic adenoma. The tumor was round and solid, with partial epithelial loss. There were no palpable neck lymph nodes. CT indicated that the tumor was limited to the hard palate without bone destruction. The operation was performed. The tumor was not infiltrative and easy to exfoliate. The pathological diagnosis was malignant myoepithelioma. After the operation, no recurrence was observed for 18 months.
