Abstract
This paper proposes a method of adapting moods to Kansei multimedia data retrieval system. This type of adaptation is called the mood adaptation. The proposed method of the mood adaptation uses the personal adaptation method based on the matrix transformation. This paper also presents a method of making the retrieval easy by considering the mood. This method enables users to retrieve pictures without any specification but their current moods. This method uses the score matrices obtained in the experiments in some moods, and the retrieval action types. By capturing the user's action type a priori, the retrieval system estimates the i mpression words and their weights to retrieve pictures.
