Abstract
1985年より1994年までに千葉大学耳鼻咽喉科小児難聴外来を受診した, 健側が正常聴力である一側性難聴児のうち, 5年間以上経過観察できた117例を対象に検討を行った。 これらの中に, 経過観察中に耳鳴を訴えた例 (15例), めまいを訴えた例 (4例), 健側耳に機能性難聴が発症した例 (3例), 患側耳の聴力改善例 (2例), 患側耳の聴力変動例 (2例), 健側耳の聴力変動例 (3例), その他の蝸牛症状を訴えた例 (2例) が認められた (一部重複している例あり)。 今回の結果より117例中何らかの聴力変動もしくは前庭蝸牛症状が認められた症例は26例存在し, 学校生活や日常生活に不自由を感じていない健側が正常聴力の一側性難聴児に対して, 患者の訴えを重視しながら長期的な経過観察が必要であると考えられた。
