Abstract
This chapter reveals another unique feature of the poetic narrative where the narrator links elements through stories of transformations, reminding the reader of his existence and importance for describing and combining the chain of events into a meaningful narrative. He not only links different elements and events, but criticizes and questions his own choice of materials for the narrative, which is mythology. The chapter finds that the uniqueness of the narrative lies in how the narrator describes mythology from his own perspective, along with the manner of narration. The narrator raises doubts over the very nature and place of mythology when he uses it from a personal perspective to link the elements and events of the story into a meaningful narrative. Mythology continues to be an essential component of literature, describing important events from human life.
