Abstract
The article deals with the problem of mythological thinking, characteristic of both individuals and society as a whole. As a result of falsifications and speculation by some episodes, the interested persons present the culture of the Soviet period of our country in a negative light. The author, recognizing the importance of the influence of myth on the minds and worldview of people, seeks to analyze the Genesis of the myth and to rethink the attitude to the Soviet culture on the basis of objective facts.
