Abstract

The article considers the representation of mythological and folklore poetics in the Guzel Yakhina's novel "Zuleikha opens her eyes". The article attempts to show the productivity of the fairy tale archetype in the plot structure of this work. The analysis of the spatial structure of the novel shows that the components of the archetypal model of the initiatory myth are isolated in the composition. The narrative structure of the work recreates folklore poetics, which reveals a transformational model of a fairy tale with the interpenetration of the more archaic mythological semantics behind it. The methodological basis of the study is the individual provisions of the works of V. Y. Propp, Y. M. Lotman, E. M. Meletinsky, S. Yu. Neklyudov, and V. I. Tyupa.
