Abstract

Myrotheciastrum salvadorae gen. et sp. nov. is proposed for a species found on Salvadora oleoides . It has cupulate, eustromatic conidiomata, and fusoid to ovoid, aseptate, greenish black to black, minutely verruculose conidia with a single, basal, open appendage. The genus is compared with Bellulicauda, Harknessia, Myrothecium, Nothostrasseria, Strasseria and Strasseriopsis .
