Abstract

A 69-year-old man had undergone surgery for a squamous cell carcinoma (Fig 1), resulting in a partial-thickness myomucosal defect involving 40% of the lower lip. Defects over 30% of the transverse width are commonly repaired with local flaps, which should aim to preserve the shape, symmetry, and oral sphincter function. 1 Isik D. Garca M.F. Durucu C.
